Museums and the Web is the largest international conference devoted to art, science, and natural and cultural heritage content online. For over 16 years it has been designed by and for museum professionals to feature the best digital work from around the world and highlight the use of new technologies in the museum context.

The inaugural Museums and the Web Asia was run on December 5, 2012 as a one-day special session on “New Ways of Working and Playing in Museums” as part of NODEM 2012 Hong Kong Future Culture: [In]tangible Heritage | Design | Cross Media. MWA2013 included presentations by leading museum technologists from North America, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific.

From web to mobile, from social media to creative commons, and from linked open data to cultural collaborations on an unprecedented scale, MW Asia is a must-go-to session for all museum professionals and creative practitioners involved in the creation of next generation museums.
